Monte da guia
If you don’t have time for a longer exploration you can get a glimpse of Faial island seascapes with a fun dive in the beautiful marine reserve of Monte da Guia.
Only 10 minutes away from the marina, this ancient volcano offers a very diverse underwater landscape, from shallow rocky reefs and sand banks to caves and steep drop offs.
There is also a shipwreck resting a few meters below the surface in the bay of Porto Pim.
Monte da Guia is known for the abundance of coastal marine species and is one of the highlights that freedivers can’t miss!

Safety: Freediving instructor as your guide in the water, qualified skipper and oxygen kit onboard.
Not included: Full freediving equipment (2 piece 3mm wetsuit, mask, snorkel and fins). Rental price: 25 euros.
